There was a lot of noise coming out of our atrium for a little while, but it was well worth it!
There was some settling of our sidewalks over the years, so we tore out our old cement and poured new.
They used a concrete pump to reach over the apartments to pour the cement in the atrium. It was quite a sight!
The Crew worked hard, into the evenings and over a weekend.
We now have perfectly level sidewalks to walk on while enjoying our pretty flowers in the atrium!
Our nurse Julie and her daughter Rachel stopped by with their two bunnies, Rex and Harry.
Our care center residents loved holding and petting them!
Thanks, Julie & Rachel, for bringing them by!
Look at our beautiful pumpkin display in front of our building!
Thanks to Charlotte Thomann for bringing and arranging the pumpkins. And thanks also to Darlene Schott for bringing some festive pumpkins for the front of our building as well.
Stop by to check them out!
Cook, Michelle, with our State Fair Day food
It is National Health Care Food Service Week, so we want to say a big THANK YOU to our dietary staff.
Aide, Olga, helping at Ragbrai
They do a great job cooking, baking and serving our residents. Plus they always step up for special events, such as ragbrai.
Thanks again for all you do!

Kristine at Cedar Rapids
We need to spread the word about what a wonderful facility we have!
Many people actually do not know we are here. So any time we can reach out to the local communities we do.
Recently we had information booths at senior events in Cedar Rapids and Riverside.
Please remember to let your friends and family know that we are here for our senior population!
Tracy at Riverside
Trek Fest Parade in Riverside
We had a fun time participating in a couple parades this week!
We first went to Riverside for the Trek Fest Parade.
4th of July parade in Hills
Then we celebrated the 4th of July in our hometown of Hills. It was very hot, but we still had fun! It was great to wave to all our friends who live at Atrium Village and their families as we walked by.
Who knows, maybe we will show up in your towns parade next? 🙂
Next time you’re in the Care Center, make sure to say congratulations to Maddie, our winner of the Going the Extra Mile Award for CNA’s. She is loved by the residents and appreciated by all. Congrats Maddie!
This week was CNA week! We appreciate our amazing CNA’s who work so hard to make Atrium Village Care Center Residents feel comfortable, safe and loved. They do an amazing job!
