Ragbrai!

Hills was on one of the final legs of Ragbrai this year.  We set up a booth to sell personal pies, water and ice tea.  We had a lot of help from staff; it was fun but exhausting. Take a look at our pictures from that day!

We Love a Parade!

Trek Fest Parade in Riverside

We had a fun time participating in a couple parades this week!

We first went to Riverside for the Trek Fest Parade.

4th of July parade in Hills

Then we celebrated the 4th of July in our hometown of Hills. It was very hot, but we still had fun!  It was great to wave to all our friends who live at Atrium Village and their families as we walked by.

Who knows, maybe we will show up in your towns parade next? 🙂

CNA Week

This week was CNA week!  We appreciate our amazing CNA’s who work so hard to make Atrium Village Care Center Residents feel comfortable, safe and loved.  They do an amazing job!

Flag Day

Happy Flag Day!  It is wonderful to have a day to recognize our beautiful flag that represents the sacrifice of brave men and women and the freedoms that we enjoy.

We were honored to have veteran Terry Kruse from the Lone Tree American Legion speak to us today about our flag, sharing some very interesting facts and history.

Here is a little snippet of his speech.  The audio didn’t record very well, so turn up the volume to hear.

Thank you Terry!

Tractorcade!

Tractorcade paraded by Hills Monday, so we headed to the edge of town to watch it go by.

It turned out to be a pretty nice afternoon, the sun was mostly under, and it wasn’t blazing hot.

Our Activities Director/Social Worker, Jane, got a treat by riding in an antique car!
